Beauty disqualified from reality TV show

The former beauty queen was disqualified from the show on Sunday, August 7, 2022, after receiving the final strike from Biggie.

The gist – Beauty had on Saturday night, had an altercation with her love interest in the house, Groovy.

The argument lingered on for hours with the former beauty queen calling out Groovy over his friendship with one of the housemates, Chomzy.

As the situation got intense, she threw her wig and glasses at Groovy.

The disqualification – On Sunday afternoon, after reading the rules to the housemate, Big Brother disqualified Beauty for infringing one of the rules.

She had previously received a strike a few days earlier for a similar behavior.

Beauty joins the list of housemates who have been disqualified from the reality TV show.

The disqualified teammates – Fitness expert, Kemen was disqualified from the second season of the show in 2017. K Brule and Khloe were disqualified during the third season of the show.

In 2019, Tacha was disqualified from the show after an altercation with fellow housemate, Mercy Eke barely a week to the end of the show.

In 2020, Erica was disqualified from the show after a messy behavior and several infringements of the house rules.

Gideon Okeke, wife set for divorce after 4 years of marriage

According to a source close to the couple, they are set to end their four-year-old marriage over irreconcilable differences. Okeke’s family will be going to Chidera’s village to collect the bride price paid on her in the coming week, the source revealed.

There have been speculations about the couple’s split for a while now.

According to several reports, Okeke and Chidera haven’t really had a cordial relationship for a while.

However, the two showed up together for their son’s birthday party at his school in July.

Ne-Yo’s wife files for divorce, claims he fathered a child with another woman

According to the divorce document obtained by PageSix, Renay claimed that Ne-Yo “recently fathered a minor” with his “paramour.” She called their marriage “irretrievably broken with no hope for reconciliation.” 

This is coming days after Renay had accused the music star of cheating on her with “numerous” other women throughout their nearly decade-long relationship.

“8 years of lies and deception. 8 years of unknowingly sharing my life and husband with numerous of women who sell their bodies to him unprotected… every last one of them!” she wrote.

“To say I’m heartbroken and disgusted is an understatement. To ask me to stay and accept it is absolutely insane. The mentality of a narcissist. I will no longer lie to the public or pretend that this is something it isn’t,” she continued.

On Sunday, July 31, Neyo responded to his wife’s post on Twitter.

“For the sake of our children, my family and I will work through our challenges behind closed doors,” he tweeted.

“Personal matters are not meant to be addressed and dissected in public forums. I simply ask that you please respect me and my family’s privacy at this time.”

Renay and Neyo started dating in 2015. Neyo proposed that same year.

The couple briefly split in 2020 before remarrying in 2022, throwing a lavish ceremony in Las Vegas to celebrate their reunion.

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen are expecting a baby

Chrissy Tiegen took to her Instagram page on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, where she shared a photo of her protruding belly. “The last few years have been a blur of emotions, to say the least, but joy has filled our home and hearts again. 1 billion shots later (in the leg lately, as u can see!) we have another on the way,” she captioned the photo.

“Every appointment I’ve said to myself, “ok if it’s healthy today I’ll announce” but then I breathe a sigh of relief to hear a heartbeat and decide I’m just too nervous still.”

“I don’t think I’ll ever walk out of an appointment with more excitement than nerves but so far, everything is perfect and beautiful and I’m feeling hopeful and amazing. Ok phew it’s been very hard keeping this in for so long!”

Teigen’s post is coming months after she revealed that she completed her in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment.

The wife of the music star made this known during a chat with Entertainment Tonight.

“I finished my IVF part, so I feel so much healthier and so much better with that,” she said.

Teigen first shared that she was undergoing IVF in February, nearly a year and a half after suffering a devastating pregnancy loss.

“I wanted to let you guys know I’m balls deep in another IVF cycle to save as many eggos as I possibly can and hopefully make some strong, healthy embryos,” she wrote on Instagram at the time.

“I honestly don’t mind the shots…they make me feel like a doctor/chemist. But the bloating is a bitch so I humbly beg you to stop asking if I’m pregnant.” Teigen had a miscarriage back in 2020.

‘Fixing Nigeria is more important than the money politicians plan to offer me’ – Okey Bakassi

The comedian made this known via his Twitter page on Tuesday, August 2, 2022.

“Fixing Nigeria is more important to me now than any money any politician has to offer. If Nigeria becomes safe and economically stable, people like me will make money from safely using our talent across the country…like we used to. #letsfixNigeria,” he tweeted.

Bakassi also revealed that he won’t be paying attention to trolls on social media who have been dragging him over his political stance.

“Sorry if I don’t notice when you drag or troll me on social media, due to my political views. I’m currently focusing my attention on who becomes the next president. I’ll get back to you after the election. Pls bear with me #ndiara #letsfixNigeria,” he added. “Because I’m an Actor, some people want me to act like all is well with Nigeria. The comedian has never hidden his dissatisfaction with the style and manner the current administration has managed the affairs of the nation.

In July, Bakassi said his love for the country was pure until Buhari happened.

Marvel comics to introduce new gay Spider-Man character

Confirming the newest addition, Comic book author Steve Foxe revealed that the character named Web-Weaver will posses a ‘fearlessly femme identity’. He further detailed that they were careful to develop a queer character that did not generalize LGBTQ stereotypes.

Surprise: I had the huge gay honor of helping to co-create Web-Weaver, who’ll make his debut in Edge of the Spider-verse this September,” Fox announced on Twitter.

He added: “Something I realized immediately when conceiving Web-Weaver is that he can’t – and shouldn’t – represent ALL gay men. No single character cant.

“His fearlessly femme identity is central to who he is, but it’s not the STORY… Which you can experience for yourself in September!”

Web-Weaver’s debut issue has been confirmed for an August 3 release. The character will debut alongside three other renditions of Spider-Man, including Spider-Man Noir and a Spider-Man Rex dinosaur hybrid.

BBNaija season 7 confirmed for double entry show premiere this July

Season 7 of the hit reality show will premiere on July 23-24, 2022, following last season’s double entry style.

The show’s organizers confirmed season seven’s launch at a recently held press junket in Lagos.

This year’s BBNaija edition will see a lucky Nigerian take home N100 million worth of prizes, the biggest in the show’s history.

Season seven will also spot some pre Covid elements including the return of the fan-favorite ‘Ninjas’ and a live studio audience. It’s set to be a winning season for BBNaija fans as the organizers confirmed a promo that would see 30 fans win N1 million each.

Black panther star Chadwick Boseman $2.3 Million fortune to be split

The actor unexpectedly succumbed to colon cancer in 2020, due to his unforeseen demise, there was no will left behind to guide the family on how to handle his fortune.

Boseman’s estate was originally valued at $3,881,758, according to court documents, but after the large funeral bill and lawyer fees the amount came down to $2.5 Million plus $157,000 in cash.

The widow, Ledward-Boseman produced documents with an account of all expenses incurred following Boseman’s death, asking to be reimbursed. The funeral costs amounted to around $50,000 including the purchase of a piece of land close to the actor’s resting place at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, where his parents will be laid.

The actor’s company, Chadwick Boseman, Inc. allegedly owed a tax fee worth $51,000 and $900,000 was spent on a bond for a probate case. The remaining $2.3 Million will be split between the two parties with $1.15 Million each. It is said that the large sum in legal fees would have been avoided had Boseman drafted up a will. Taylor Simone Ledward and Boseman secretly tied the knot in 2019 three years after he was diagnosed with cancer. They had been together before the actor’s diagnosis. At the time of his death, Boseman had appeared in the Marvel high grossing superhero movie “Black Panther“, Black-American historic films ‘42‘, ‘Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom‘, ‘Get On Up‘ and ‘Da 5 Bloods‘.

R. Kelly sentenced to 30 years for racketeering, sex trafficking

The singer was found guilty of one charge of racketeering and eight counts of violating the Mann Act, which prohibits the transport of “any woman or girl” across state lines for any “immoral purpose,” in September 2021. According to PageSix, it took the jury consisting of seven men and five women nine hours across two days to come up with the verdict.

The prosecutors of the case had asked the judge for a sentence longer than 25 years.

Prosecutors also said he used his celebrity status and wealth to lure women, as well as underage girls and boys, for sex.

The judgment was earlier scheduled for May 5th but was later postponed.

It would be recalled that in 2021, the disgraced singer was found guilty of sexually abusing women, boys and girls for decades.

One of his victims was R&B singer Aaliyah, who Kelly illegally wed in a Chicago hotel room in 1994 when she was 15 years old.

Kelly’s legal team called a handful of ex-Kelly employees and associates to take the stand to discredit allegations the singer sexually abused women, girls and boys.

The actor is expecting his ninth child with one of his baby mamas, Abby De La Rosa. According to TMZ, Abby De La Rosa is due by October 25.

Comedian D.L. Hughley calls out Mo’Nique over contract dispute

Hughley took to Instagram on Sunday with some choice words for Mo’Nique in response to her public call out while on The Comedy Explosion stage at the Fox Theater in Detroit, Michigan on Saturday, May 28, 2022.

The comedian/actor blasted Mo’Nique over her beef with industry folks including Tyler Perry, Oprah and Lee Daniels, the director of ‘Precious’, the film that got her an Academy award in the supporting actress category.
