Alec Baldwin denies pulling trigger in fatal ‘Rust’ set shooting

Hollywood actor, Alec Baldwin has denied pulling the trigger of the prop gun that killed Ukrainian filmmaker Halyna Hutchins. Baldwin in his first sit-down interview post the tragic accident on the set of his film ‘Rust’ in October, denied pulling the trigger as originally reported.

The interview marks the first time Baldwin has spoken about the incident on camera, except for a brief interview he gave to TMZ in October, in a bid to stop the paparazzi from following him and his family. In that appearance, he described the incident as a “one in a trillion episode” and said accidents of its nature very rarely happened on film sets. Hutchins was reportedly shot and killed as Baldwin rehearsed with what he believed to be a “cold” – or safe – gun on the set of his western film ‘Rust in New Mexico. Hutchins was flown to hospital by helicopter after the shooting but later died of her injuries. Director Joel Souza, 48, was also injured.

Is Dwayne Johnson returning to the fast & furious franchise?

As the fast &furious saga that began in 2001 draws to its conclusions, the film producer and lead actor ‘Vin diesel’ is willing to bury the hatchet with co-star and Dwayne johnson, who played a pivotal role in several instalments of the storyline as the ‘nemesis turned friend’ cop ‘Hobbs’.

On the 8th of November 2021, Vin diesel made an IG post, publicly beckoning the former WWE figure to reprise his central role in the fast franchise ahead of F10 and F11.

“My little brother Dwayne… the time has come. The world awaits the finale of Fast 10. As you know, my children refer to you as Uncle Dwayne in my house. There is not a holiday that goes by that they and you don’t send well wishes… but the time has come. Legacy awaits. I told you years ago that I was going to fulfil my promise to Pablo. I swore that we would reach and manifest the best Fast in the finale, that is 10! I say this out of love… but you must show up, do not leave the franchise idle, you have a very important role to play. Hobbs can’t be played by no other. I hope that you rise to the occasion and fulfil your destiny”. Dwayne Johnson made his final appearance in the 2017s release ‘The fate of the furious’. The actors had disagreements on set during filming, which eventually became public. The reason for their clash was reported to be time management, filming procedures, among other factors. However, considering the year’s passed since the beef originated and ‘fast and furious’ continuing to excel in the box office as validated with F9’s success. We hope the ‘Jungle Cruise’ and ‘Red Notice’ star takes Vin diesel up on his offer and makes an appearance for the fans, for the film, and family. Israel Olorunnisola is a freelance creative. Sylvester Stallone is exiting ‘The Expendables’ franchise!

Sylvester Stallone has confirmed his exit from ‘The Expendables’ franchise, having just completed the fourth film which will be his final.

“The greatest thing is being able to provide films that are somewhat entertaining and maybe there’s a little message in there because what I try to convey in my successful films is the human touch. Not so much the action, the action is self-evident, but it’s just relating to the audience in a way that they can identify with whatever the mission is with the characters at hand… Just providing some escapism and hoping there’s a little something extra in there.”

The series follows the titular Expendables, a group of elite mercenaries led by Barney Ross (Stallone) overthrowing a Latin American tyrant, pursuing vengeance against a rival mercenary, and dealing with a violent arms dealer have all been among the group’s assignments.
