FIFA will give Nigeria and four other African football federations a $2million advance each on World Cup prize money, to pay player bonuses before the tournament in Russia.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) says the agreement for Egypt, Morocco, Nigeria, Senegal and Tunisia will help “settle beforehand the question of bonuses.”
The 32 federations sending teams to the World Cup get $1.5m each from FIFA to prepare, plus at least $8m in prize money after the tournament.
The winner gets $38m.
CAF also added that money disputes at previous World Cups “affected badly the image of African football, with a considerable impact on team performances”.

Mr. president, Senior Government officials, I have just had excellent discussions with President Trump and I would like to reiterate my immense gratitude to you, Mr. President for your kind invitation and the very warm and generous hospitality extended to me and my delegation since our arrival in the United States;
2. We greatly appreciate the importance your administration attaches to a strong relationship with Nigeria. The United States remains for us a valued friend and strategic partner, whose support and solidarity over the years has meant a great deal to us. Our government’s three main priority areas are:a) Securityb) Anti-corruption and good governancec) Economic growth and job creation
3. We congratulate you, Mr. President on the statesmanly role you have played in so dramatically transforming the course of events in the Korean Peninsula to make the denuclearization of the region a real possibility.
4. On security, please accept our sincere congratulations on the important role played by the US in the defeat of ISIS, although some of the remnants have found their way to the Sahel region. THERE was anxiety in Enugu yesterday, following the explosion of Improvised Explosive Device, IED, at the country home of the President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief John Nnia Nwodo, at Ukehe, in Igbo Etiti Local Government Area of the state.
Nnia Nwodo, President-General of Ohanaeze The incident happened at about 5.30 am when members of the household were getting ready for the early morning Sunday mass. A statement by Nwodo’s Media Aide, Emeka Attamah confirmed the bomb attack. Police Spokesman in the state, Superintendent Ebere Amaraizu also confirmed that there was an explosion in Nwodo’s house saying that investigations had started to unravel the reasons and those behind it.
The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has condemned the attack on Nwodo’ s compound saying it was the handiwork of “terrorists disguised as herdsmen.” Earlier,on Saturday, the IPOB, circulated a message reportedly signed by the Legal Adviser to Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Barr Chuka Momah, raising an alarm, over alleged plans by security agencies to bomb public places including schools and police stations as well as kill innocent citizens in a bid to incriminate IPOB and make it look like a terrorist organisation. Nwodo’s media aide, Attamah’s statement read in part:
“A bomb explosion took place today (yesterday) Sunday, April 29, 2018, in the country home of the President General, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Nnia Nwodo.
A cursory look by the Police Bomb Disposal Unit suggested it was an Improvised Explosive Device, IED, that was hurled over the fence into the compound causing damage to the windows, the ceiling of one of the houses in the compound and an air-conditioning units.
“The Enugu State Commissioner of Police, Danmallam Mohammed, accompanied by the Area Commander for Nsukka Police Command and the Divisional Police Officer for Igbo Etiti LGA, were there to inspect the scene of the bomb blast, which created a crater in the compound.

The attempt to recall the Senator Dino Melaye of Kogi West flopped on Saturday following a low turn-out for the signature the verification.
Results announced by INEC at the end of the exercise showed that only 18,742 signatories to the recall petition were verified out of the 189,870 signatories on the petition.
The verified signatories fell well below the requirement of the law that 50 per cent and one of the signatories must be verified before the recall process can continue.
Consequently, the embattled Senator Melaye who is in the hospital owing to the drama that followed his arrest has survived the recall attempt.
Here is how the verification exercise turned out in the seven local government areas in the senatorial district, which has 351,146 registered voters.

The Senate, yesterday, concurred with the House of Representatives when it summoned President Muhammadu Buhari to appear before a joint session of the National Assembly to address it on the spate of killings in the country.

A female Corps member at the NYSC camp in Yikpata, Edu local government area of Kwara state, Miss Hilda Eva Amadi has been reported dead following a severe injury she sustained during a “Man o War” drilling exercise in the ongoing orientation camp.
A Corps member during orientation The entire camp was thrown into mourning over the news of her sudden death, as Corps members were seen discussing the sad development in groups on Thursday when Vanguard visited.
Vanguard gathered that the deceased, who studied Oil and Gas at University of Port Harcourt, was said to be hale and hearty before she was mobilised for her one year service in the state.

To start with I’m just settling down and I don’t plan to make a song in a hurry, if I’m releasing a song then it has to be worth it. I plan to feature the Toofan guys from Togo and some creative guys like that just imagine the combination! and then I plan to remix with some Nigerian artistes I respect and I know it will be a hit. Fans should be patient I will definitely release Farome.
What is your plan for entertainment?
Like I mentioned earlier, I don’t want to rush into things. I plan to get a very good manager because I really want to build a brand so I am in no hurry at all. It’s not about first to do it is about staying in the industry.
