The film, which continues the legacy of the beloved Jenifa Franchise, dominated cinemas week after week, securing the No. 1 spot for seven consecutive weekends and becoming one of the highest-grossing Nollywood films ever.

Funke Akindele and JJC Skillz’s marriage crashes

JJC Skillz made this known via his Instagram page on Thursday, June 30, 2022. Dear Friends and family I need to let you know that Funke and I have separated. While it lasted we shared a lot of things together and have created 2 beautiful children. The last two years have been extremely difficult for us,” he wrote.

“I know I have tried my best to fix things but I believe it is beyond repair now. 3 months ago and at Funke’s insistence I moved out of the house and apart from AMVCA have not been able to get Funke to sit down in an amicable manner to discuss the future of our relationship.”

The veteran rapper said he decided to announce their separation to let the public know they are already pursuing their individual lives.

“I’m making this announcement so that the public is clear that we both are pursuing separate lives. We still have issues that need to be addressed such as the custody and wellbeing of our children which is paramount as well as business interests which need to be disentangled but I have no doubt that these will be resolved one way or the other,” he concluded. Trouble in the Bello’s home first got to the public after the movie star’s stepson, Benito, dragged her on social media.

Benito revealed that all was not well in one of Nollywood’s most admired marriages.

He alleged that his stepmom, Funke, was a horrible person.

He made this known following reports of crisis in JJC and Akindele’s marriage.

Weeks later, Benito disclosed he was allegedly assaulted by his father.

According to him, they fell out after he was expelled for bringing alcohol to the school.

Benito gave a detailed account of how the music star repeatedly hit him inside the car as they drove home.

He alleged that he sustained bruises on his face, neck and ribs.

It didn’t end there as he dropped a bombshell about his father and step mum cheating on each other.

JJC Skillz’s baby mama continues to drag him, says son took up smoking habit from him

She made this known via her Instagram page while reacting to a photo of Benito smoking.  “The biggest problem here is that Abdul is a long time drug user who has constantly smoked dope in front of all his children which has been a long-standing dispute between us both,” she wrote.

“These children look up to their father and follow his example. It’s been a big problem for me and his mother.”

The post has since been deleted.

Mella hasn’t stopped dragging her former partner since Benito called out the music star’s wife, Funke Akindele on social media.

Mella accused JJC Skillz of inflicting grievous bodily harm on their son.

“While you parade yourself on social media pretending with fake piety to be the main character in an aspirational story, the son that you assaulted and inflicted grievous bodily harm upon is still recovering from his physical injuries and mental trauma,” she wrote on IG.

Benito later revealed why he was allegedly assaulted by his father.

‘I thank God for making me a mother’ – Funke Akindele writes after spending time at her children’s school

Nollywood actress Funke Akindele has expressed the joy of motherhood after visiting her kids’ school.

The movie star wrote the special moment she experienced at her kids’ school via her Instagram Stories on Thursday, December 2, 2021.

”I’m here at my kids’ school watching their Xmas play. I keep fighting back the tears of joy. I thank God for making me a mother,” she wrote.

‘The feeling is so good. I pray for those looking up to God for the fruit of the womb that the lord will answer your prayers and give you a new song. Amen.”

Akindele and her hubby JJC Skillz welcomed their set of twins back in 2018.

The couple tied the knot in 2016 at a private wedding ceremony.
