BBNaija 2021: Biggie exposes Saga & Nini’s late night gossip about Pere [Video]

It appears Big Brother is in a payback mood going by his jaw-dropping Thursday evening revelation exposing Saga and Nini.

In a brief meeting with the housemates, Biggie played a video featuring both housemates tittle-tattling about co-housemate Pere. The conversation which was made in hushed tones hinted on Saga and Nini making disparaging comments about Pere.

Watch the video:

After the video, Big Brother announced that the housemates had been found guilty of microphone infringement as the late night conversation saw them use hush tones. Shortly after calling out their offence, Biggie issued them strikes.

While this will be Nini’s first strike since the show kicked off, Saga has earned his second. A third strike will get the housemates instantly disqualified from the game.

Meanwhile, fans have reacted to Biggie’s video revelation, labelling it as his way of getting back at Saga for failing his prank task.

Recall the housemate was quick to rat Biggie out on Wednesday when he confessed to Nini that Biggie had put him up on a prank task.

BBNaija 2021: Saga reveals why he failed prank task

‘Shine Ya Eye’ lover boy Saga has finally opened up to Biggie about why he called off his prank task.

During the housemate’s diary session, he admitted that he couldn’t keep the act up due to his attachment to Nini.

“Nini is very smart so I didn’t start immediately. I took my time. When I started the task in the evening and it got to her until she said I should not talk to her again,” Saga said.

“At this point, I knew that I had done the task but I didn’t know for how long the task should go. She got into a fight with Cross and I had to leave my character and intervene. If the fight didn’t happen I would have continued the task.

“I passed the task up to a point but I think I failed the task. I suspect liquorose is also on the same task and she’s doing a good job, I am quite attached to Nini so it was a bit harder.”

Recall that Biggie instructed Saga to pick a fight with Nini on Tuesday. The prank task came with the offer of 200 Abeg Naira and 100 BB Token.

However, barely 20 hours after the prank task was issued, Saga ratted himself out following Nini’s emotional outburst after an altercation with Cross.

Meanwhile, Biggie issued both Saga and Nini a punishment supposedly for Saga’s failure to complete the task. The housemates woke up to a messy garden on Thursday morning with a letter addressed to Saga and Nini instructing them to clean up without the assistance of other housemates.

FIFA: Majority of fans back more frequent World Cup finals

FIFA says it has fan backing for the much-criticized plan to shift to a biennial World Cup after releasing a summary of the results of an opinion survey of supporters.

The proposals were outlined by FIFA’s head of Global Football Development, former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.

But they have been met with widespread opposition from within the game.

FIFA’s congress in May voted by a large majority to conduct a feasibility study into the potential of holding the World Cup every two years instead of every four years. FIFA said it used polling company YouGov and that the 15,000 respondents “were identified as expressing an interest in football and the FIFA World Cup, from a broader market research survey involving 23,000 people in 23 countries, across the organization’s six confederations.”

It said the majority of fans would like to see a more frequent men’s World Cup and of those respondents, a majority preferred a biennial competition.

FIFA said in a statement that “there are considerable differences between the so-called traditional markets and the developing football markets” and said that younger fans were more open to change.

The organization said it would publish full details of the survey and added that an expanded survey involving 100,000 people in more than 100 countries was currently underway.

UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin has threatened a European boycott of the World Cup should the plans go ahead against his organization’s wishes.

South American confederation CONMEBOL has also come out against the plan along with the World Leagues Forum which represents the major national leagues.

Players union FIFPRO has said it has concerns about expanded workloads and a lack of consultation.

However, the Asian Football Confederation said it welcomes the consultation process.

CONCACAF, which organizes the game in North and Central America and the Caribbean, says it is studying the plans.

Wenger says that the status quo causes too much disruption and forces players to make too many long trips around the world for qualifiers and friendly matches.

He says his system would streamline the process …

Naira falls at parallel market against Dollar, Pound, Euro

The Naira on Thursday dipped further at the parallel market in Lagos against the dollar.

The Central Bank of Nigeria had a few months ago stopped the sale of FOREX to Bureau De Change operators.

It cited regulatory infractions by some of the members of the currency traders.

However, the impact of the ban is far from strengthening the naira against the dollar.

It lost N6 from N562 traded on Wednesday to exchange at N568 to the dollar, while the Pound Sterling and the Euro closed at N774 and N660 respectively.

Trading at the official Investors and Exporters window saw the Naira closing at N410 to the dollar as at Wednesday, while the Pound Sterling and the Euro closed at N567.67 and N485.53 respectively.

Data from the Central Bank of Nigeria also showed the Naira exchanged at 0.739 Kobo  to the CFA.

NAN reports that while the CBN is working hard to reduce inflation, experts believe a lot needs to be done in the management of the exchange rate.…

Wizkid talks about his new album and working with Tems

On September 15, 2021, Nigerian superstar, Wizkid did a feature for GQ, on which he was described as the “king of Afro-pop.”

During the lengthy conversation, during which he spoke about his Surulere, Lagos origins as well as his boy band, he spoke about how he likes to work on songs as albums. He spoke about how he went to Ghana to record a new album.

I am working on a new album, but I never like to be, like, in a rush,” Wizkid says. “Sometimes it takes me a year, two years, to make an album. I always record in terms of albums, not just songs. I like to make music that way, because it gives you a sense of direction.”

“Well, in the next album, I’m just trying to enjoy myself with the music now, because of the reception from the fans for my last album,” he continues. I just keep evolving with the sound.”

The writer of the piece then wrote that, “Before Made in Lagos—his latest album and the one pushing him to new heights—was released, Wiz had hinted that the follow-up would be his last “as Wizkid,” though whether this might mean full-on retirement, or simply a change of name, is impossible information to extract from him.

“In fact, guessing the concept of his next and possibly last album has become the favorite pastime of just about every Afrobeats commentator, with Wiz in the eye of the storm.”

How Wizkid met Tems

Wizkid told GQ that, “I love meeting new artists. When I’m in a room with a new artist, it feels like, Oh, my God. It feels like I’m right there when the magic is just about to take off and take form. It’s so exciting to me.

“When I get in the room with a new artist, it’s like you’re learning from me, I’m learning from you. I even get more excited getting in the room with new artists than my peers or my friends that I

Marvel: Hawkeye’s trailer is out

After long speculation and photo teasing, Marvel has finally dropped the official trailer for its next series instalment ‘Hawkeye’ into the phase four franchise.

In the events of Hawkeye, which is a continuation of Black Widow, Kate Bishop, played by Hailee Steinfeld, takes the bow and arrow. Except she’s wearing a purple suit.

The last appearance of Hawkeye happened in Avengers endgame when we found out that he had been operating under the name ‘The Ronin During the five years between the blip and the snap—moving in the shadows as a gangster killing vigilante. Clint Barton has built up quite a reputation. This will likely be brought into the show due to the kinds of villains in the source material. The story will be based on the hawkeye comic run from 2013, and in that, we follow Clint as he trains his protege kate bishop played by (Hailee Steinfeld)

Set to release on November 24, 20121, in gear with the holiday season, the six-episode series will follow the pair fight crime across the marvel universe in what will probably be the most grounded Disney plus show so far.

Florence Pugh will be reprising her role as Yelena Belova, which is hinted at with the post-credits of ‘Black widow’. Yelena might come as an antagonist for a brief period until she realizes the truth about Black widow’s death, an honorable sacrifice. Who knows, we might probably get a Clint, Kate and Yelena team-up.

The official trailer opens in December with Clint and his family having Christmas dinner. This is a nod of closure for him, seeing that he wanted nothing more than to be with his family again.

Other avengers are honored in Hawkeye as we see, Steve roger banners and performers in avengers costume all paying tribute to the heroic deeds of the Avengers in reuniting the world against Thanos in 2019’s Avengers Endgame.

The main villains in the hawkeye series will be the ‘Tracksuit mafia’ led by a gangster Ivan. They pop up occasionally during the run in an

School resumption: NCDC calls for vigilance, adherence to COVID-19 protocols

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has called for vigilance and adherence to safety regulations in the face of coronavirus as students return to school.

The Director-General, NCDC, Dr. Chikwe Ihekweazu, made the call at the Presidential Steering Committee briefing on COVID-19 on Monday in Abuja.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that schools resumed on Monday, while those in model colleges and upgraded schools will resume in batches due to the ongoing West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination.

Ihekweazu said: “This brings me to a very important topic today, that I am sure affects everyone.

“This week, children will be going back to school because schools are resuming, principals and others are having to deal with this situation of taking responsibility from  students who might get infected and might spread the virus.

“It’s important to be aware that children are not immune to this disease.

“They can get it as easily as anyone else, and can also spread it as easy as anyone else, even themselves don’t get generally severely ill.

“But they are very good spreaders of the virus.”

The NCDC boss noted that the second challenge was that children do not present the same symptoms as adult, who, very commonly, present shortness of breath or they do not carry the most common symptoms of smell or taste.

Ihekweazu added: “They present very unusual normal symptoms.

“It can be very difficult to distinguish from what we call common cold or malarial fever.

“And if caregivers, teachers and parents do not take such symptoms seriously they’ll go ahead and spread.

“And we’ve seen instances of large outbreaks of going completely unnoticed.”

He said even if they may not be severely ill, they were unlikely to prevent parents or guardians, all of whom may be a little bit more vulnerable.

Ihekweazu said: “In addition to the vaccines, we also now have rapid tests that we can test the whole school community.”

Ihekweazu added that the agency was ready to work with school owners and that any school needing more information …
