Reporter who posted IGP Ibrahim Idris’ viral “Transmission” video goes into hiding
Liberty Television reporter, Aminu Nurudeen who posted IGP’s viral “Transmission” video has reportedly gone into hiding
It was gathered that upon the post of the now viral video capturing the blunder of the IGP in question, the reporter was summoned to the Kano State Police Command by the Kano State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Musa Magaji Majiya, on Thursday.
The journalist has not been spotted since he was summoned and his whereabouts are currently unknown
According to reliable sources, journalists covering the inauguration of the Police Technical Intelligence Unit in Kano, Kano State on Monday were instructed not to publish the video of the embarrasing blunder which brought an abrupt end to the event, leading the police chief’s handlers to hurriedly usher him away from the venue of the event.
Meanwhile, the Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Diaspora Matters, Abike Dabiri, on Twitter defended the IG, saying, “This video is definitely doctored.”
Up until this time, there has been no proof that the video was doctored but several proof depicting that the authorities are taking to his defence.
In light of the current twist of events, a senior police officer, claimed that the Force had “the original version of the video,” and he dismissed allegations that the police had invited the journalist that released the video.
Stating that the case is still under investigation, the officer sent “the original video” to a correspondent in PUNCH on Friday evening.
But Saturday PUNCH observed that though recorded at the same event, it did not capture where a man, who appeared to be the IG’s personal assistant, assisted the police chief to check the speech he was presenting for correct pronunciation.…

Nigerian singer, Sound Sultan has spoke on how awesome he connects with fellow music artiste, Tuface Idibia.
In a chat with Saturday Beats, the veteran singer who has been in the music business for decades now spoke on how he settles whatever misunderstanding he has with Tuface.
“The funny thing is that there is nothing that causes a fight between Tuface and me. If we have a misunderstanding, we make fun of it and settle it. That is the beauty of our friendship.
Whenever we have a problem, we make fun of it and resolve the issue. We argue and it is more of a hobby for us but we realise that we must not always agree on an issue.
We have never had a quarrel over women or music. When it comes to music, we connect greatly with our inspirations. We connect greatly.

Stoke City Sack Paul Lambert
Manager Paul Lambert has left relegated Stoke City four months after joining the club to replace Mark Hughes.
Stoke ended a decade in the Premier League with a 2-1 victory at Swansea on Sunday, but Lambert managed only two wins from his 15 games in charge.
“Whilst he was unable to guide us to safety, it certainly wasn’t due to a lack of effort, professionalism and dedication,” a Stoke statement said.
The Potters added that they plan to name a new boss “as soon as possible”.
Last week, the club’s owners said they would continue to give managers time “to prove themselves”.
However, the departure of the ex-Aston Villa and Norwich boss leaves Stoke looking for a third manager in a year.

The Royal Wedding
The Royal Wedding between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle is on, and guests have already started arriving Windsor for the event.
Among the 600 guests who have already arrived at St George’s Chapel are Oprah Winfrey, George and Amal Clooney, David and Victoria Beckham and Elton John. The ceremony will begin at noon in St George’s Chapel, before the newly-married couple travel through the town.
Prince Harry has been made the Duke of Sussex by the Queen, with Ms Markle becoming the Duchess of Sussex. The prince, who is sixth in line to the throne, also received the titles Earl of Dumbarton and Baron Kilkeel.
Thousands of well-wishers are arriving in Windsor, while hundreds more camped out overnight to secure the best viewing spot. Prince Charles will walk Ms Markle down the aisle, after her father, Thomas, was unable to attend for health reasons. On the eve of their wedding, Prince Harry, 33, told crowds in Windsor he was feeling “relaxed” and Ms Markle, 36, said she was feeling “wonderful”.

Oprah Winfrey Smokes Weed According to her Long Time Best Friend
Oprah Winfrey, who’s admired as one of the respected and richest women in the world is a ‘marijuana smoker’, according to her best friend and CBS News anchor Gayle King.
Gayle was featured on the Ellen Degeneres Show recently and she revealed that the media mogul does weed.
The News anchor was discussing marijuana with comedian Amy Schumer during the show when she made the statement. She said she has never used cannabis, but couldn’t say the same about her BFF.
“Oprah has also smoked a little marijuana, too. I don’t mind saying that,” King said. “I’m not telling tales out of school.”
When DeGeneres asked if Winfrey “likes” getting high, King declined giving more information by saying: “I refuse to answer on the grounds that it may incriminate her,” King said when pressed for details. “It’s not something that happens on a regular — I’m going to change the subject.”
The CBS News anchor also went on to reveal that she’s interested in trying marijuana for the first time.

Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup Preview
The 2018 FIFA World Cup will be the 21st FIFA World Cup, a quadrennial international football tournament contested by the men’s national teams of the member associations of FIFA.
It is scheduled to take place in Russia from 14 June to 15 July 2018, after the country was awarded the hosting rights on 2 December 2010.
The Anticipation for the Worlds most prestigious tournament is soon to be short-lived. A global event, in its 21st edition, guides us to Eastern Europe, where in the Summer of 2018, all eyes will be on Russia.
32 countries. 64 matches. 12 Venues. 11 Cities.
This will be the first World Cup held in Europe since the 2006 tournament in Germany, and the first ever to be held in Eastern Europe. All of the stadium venues are in European Russia, to keep travel time manageable.
The final tournament will involve 32 national teams, which include 31 teams determined through qualifying competitions and the automatically qualified host team.
Of the 32 teams, 20 will be making back-to-back appearances following the last tournament in 2014, including defending champions Germany, while Iceland and Panama will both be making their first appearances at a FIFA World Cup.
A total of 64 matches will be played in 12 venues located in 11 cities. The final will take place on 15 July at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow.
The winners of the World Cup will qualify for the 2021 FIFA Confederations Cup.

Almost 24-hours after, the Nigerian Police on social media has reacted to the video of police chief, Ibrahim Idris that went viral showing him fumbling with reading a speech in Kano State.

China’s president, Xi Jinping has been named this year’s most powerful person in the world by Forbes. In March 2018, China’s congress amended its constitution, eliminating term limits and broadening Xi’s influence.
Russian President Vladimir Putin who came in second place has been knocked off the top spot, a title that he held for four consecutive years. A little over one year into his term, President Donald Trump falls to the Number 3 spot.
Four factors were taken into account to select each of the World’s Most Powerful People: how many people over whom they have power; the financial resources they control; if they have influence in more than one sphere; and how actively they wield their power to change the world.
It’s no surprise that Africa’s richest man and Nigerian business mogul, Alhaji Aliko Dangote is the only Nigerian to make the 75 Most Powerful People in 2018.
He’s pegged on 66th position coming a spot ahead of Vice President of the United States of America, Mike Pence who’s pegged on number 67 on the list.

Man arrested for allegedly defiling three of his cousins aged, 10, 6 and 4 years old
A woman Identified as Mrs. Delight has cried out after her brother-in-law, Mr. Michael defiled her 11-year-old daughter.
According to Chritsianah Fate Foundation who rescued the little girl and facilitated the arrest of the man, the little girl was given out by her mom to her brother-in-law who promised to send her school. Mr. Michael didn’t keep his promise but instead defiled the little girl.
Investigations revealed that Mr. Michael defiled the 11-year-old girl and also three of his cousins aged 10, 6 and 4years old.
Mr Michael, however, denied the allegations. Narrating what happened the NGO said;
Mrs. Delight, a single mum, called our helpline on the 15th of April and reported that her 11year old daughter,”Jenny” (Not real name) has been defiled by her brother in law. She couldn’t afford to send the child to school and since the brother in law said he needed assistance for his mum who lives in Ikorodu and also promised to send the girl to school, she released her daughter to them in Oct 2017. The girl, however, was not enrolled in any school.
The girl came home on vacation and informed the mum about Mr. Michael’s actions. Mr Michael worked in Festac and comes to Ikorodu every weekend. Each weekend, he would trap the girl and try to force his manhood into her, and according to “Jenny” , he would “pour something white on the floor” and then leave her alone. Saturday and Sunday each weekend, he would do the same. He would tell her that her 10year old cousin ” Lina” (Not real name) is more cooperative than she is, that her vagina is already open, and she begs him for it everyday.”Lina”, is his wife’s niece. ( Mr. Michael lives in Oshodi with his wife’s brother from Monday to Friday, and returns to Ikorodu on weekends.) He sleeps in the sitting room with the 3 daughters of the man. 10, 6 and 4year old
According to the 11year old girl “Jenny”, Mr. Michael eventually penetrated her sometime in December.…
Nigerian man manufactures a car with just N80,000 in Abia state (Photos)
ucked away in Ohanze town near the commercial city of Aba in Abia state is Francis Emmanuel. He runs a company called EM Automobile.
This enterprising young Nigerian is in the business of manufacturing automobiles. Francis Emmanuel has built a brand of car called the EM Emulate.
According to him, the EM Emulate is manufactured using Mate motorcycle engine together with other locally fabricated materials.
Thus far, and largely due to inadequate funding, he has built only one unit of the EM Emulate. However, here is the interesting part: a unit of the EM Emulate is built with only Eighty thousand naira (N80, 000) !
Indeed, such industry and determination ought to be encouraged. With some encouragement and support, such project have the potential to come out much better.
