Yesterday we brought you news of a slay queen who offered her ‘honey pot’ to Miracle, today another Nigerian lady with Instagram handle @omotoke_dacoco took to the platform to disclose how she is now regretting ignoring the flyboy who was in her DM.

The lady took to her Instalive to share screenshots of chats with Miracle, before he was unveiled as the reality show’s housemates and then winner.

Well here’s an interesting article from Premium Times on how the organizers of the just-concluded third season of the reality TV show, Big Brother Naija “Double Wahala”, may have made billion from viewers.

The host of the show, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, revealed that over 170 million votes were cast in the course of the season, 30 million of it coming in the final week.

Although commentators on social medials are suggesting the show may have raked in as much as N5.1billion, that claim could not be independently verified by this medium.

The calculation being made is that going by the 170million people who voted during the show and paid N30 per SMS, the revenue from the show would be N5.1billion.

But organisers say that computation is faulty as a lot of the votes were cast online, and it was free. They also explained that telcoms through which the votings were done held back substantial part of the SMS fee.

Based on how the BBNaija game works, viewers were asked to cast votes for their favourite housemates to keep them in the house as the housemate with the highest votes would win.

The cost of voting was N30.

The winner took home a N45 million package containing N25 million in cash, a new SUV worth N12 million, a complete home entertainment system worth N3.3 million and an all-expense paid trip for two worth N4.7 million.

This numbers show that the organisers of the show may have made a huge profit …

There was pandemonium in Unilag today, after a final year student of the school was arrested for stealing her boyfriend’s ATM card which she used in buying an iPhone 8 and X on Jumia.

The suspect who also bought other items on the online store was nabbed, after her boyfriend in collaboration with Jumia, traced the buyer to Unilag’s Moremi Hall where the delivery was made.

An eyewitness account on the arrest of the Unilag student who was handed over to the school’s DSA, reads;

“It appears, she’s been scamming guys with her friends for a long time.

When the Jumia officials came to the hostel, she hid the phones in a bag and threw them in the dustbin. The girl is actually using an iPhone 7 Plus.

However, upon realizing what was happening, the boyfriend demanded that the case be dropped.”…

The Nigerian Police has recovered the Senate’s stolen Mace at a flyover before the Abuja City Gate, where according to ASP Aremu Adeniran, Deputy Force Public Relations Officer Force Headquarters a patriotic passer-by saw it and alerted the Police.

This came as the IGP has ordered the Commissioner of Police FCT Command to beef-up security at the National Assembly.

According to a statement by the Police on Thursday morning the Mace was recovered by the ‘Police teams who engaged in massive raids of identified criminal spots/flashpoints, stop and search operations, visibility and confidence building patrols, intelligence gathering which forced the suspected miscreants to abandon the Mace at a point under the flyover before the City Gate, where a patriotic passer-by saw it and alerted the Police.’

The police statement read thus:

Sequel to the invasion of the Senate Chambers of the National Assembly, Federal Republic of Nigeria on the 18th April, 2018 by some suspected thugs who disrupted the Senate Plenary Session and carted away the Mace of the Red Chambers, the Inspector General of Police, IGP Ibrahim K. Idris NPM, mni, immediately instituted a high-powered Police Investigation and Intelligence Team coordinated by the IGP Monitoring Unit of the Force and further directed a total lock-down of the Federal Capital Territory with intense surveillance patrol and thorough Stop and Search Operations at various Police check-points with a view to arresting perpetrators and possible recovery of the stolen Mace.

The Police teams engaged in massive raids of identified criminal spots/flashpoints, stop and search operations, visibility and confidence building patrols, intelligence gathering which forced the suspected miscreants to abandon the Mace at a point under the flyover before the City Gate, where a patriotic passer-by saw it and alerted the Police.

Professor Richard Akindele, the Obafemi Awolowo University OAU lecturer who was recently caught in a recorded audio conversation asking one of his female students, Enitan, for sex in order to pass his course, has been suspended indefinitely.

The audio conversation went viral last week.A member of an investigative committee set up by the management of the school to look into the allegation, told Punch that the erring lecturer has appeared before the panel to state his own side but the female student who is a regular Masters student, failed to show up to testify before the panel.

“The committee recommended the indefinite suspension of the professor pending the time the final report will be ready. The committee established a prima facie case against the professor. But note that this is the interim report of the committee. The committee invited the professor and the female student. We identified the student and invited her, but she did not appear.

Only the professor honoured our invitation. I don’t want to tell you what he said on the telephone.” The committee member who spoke on condition of anonymity said.…

Serious tragedy was averted recently after a 9-year-old girl identified as Chidera, survived when she fell from a 3-storey building.

The young girl is said to have fallen from the building following a misstep while playing with her friends.

The tragic event was said to have occurred on Wednesday, 11 April 2018.

Local reports show that the sad incident happened at 3B Ekwe Street, Mile 3 Diobu, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The parents were said to have left her with other children for their various businesses before the accident occurred.

According to the girl’s friends, she ran from inside the passage to outside corridor, where she accidentally pushed the building protector off – causing her to fall freely from the building.

The girl was rushed to the nearby private hospital for treatment.

I saw something in @ceec_official that I hadn’t seen previously and my whole ideology of “Setting her straight” was to take her out of her “lone ranger” phase and encourage her to mix. Guess what? I gained a friend. I never hated on @alex_unusual ;she represents an embodiment of my early years. The Alex-figure takes me down memory lane and I reminisce on how “expressive and all over the place” I used to be. I only disliked a trait in her and not the totality of her essence. As for @miracleikechukwu , Common! I was disqualified from the show, sent home and I got to appreciate the overpowering love and support from his fans. Why would I hate on a guy and have his myriad of supporters hate me too? I only expressed the fact that fame & fortune changes people and it did look like Miracle will shift from his behavioural pattern in d BBN house to somebody else. But then, who am I to judge?

It’s okay to disagree with the thoughts or opinions expressed by other people. That doesn’t give you the right to deny any sense they might make. Former U.S. First Lady Barbara Bush has died on Tuesday evening at the age of 92, after a series of recent hospitalisation, Spokesman for the family, Jim McGrath, said.

“A former First Lady of the United States of America and relentless proponent of family literacy, Barbara Pierce Bush passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at the age of 92.

“She is survived by her husband of 73 years, President George H.W. Bush; five children and their spouses; 17 grandchildren; seven great grand children; and her brother, Scott Pierce.

“She was preceded in death by her second child, Pauline Robinson “Robin” Bush, and her siblings Martha Rafferty and James R. Pierce.

“The official funeral schedule will be announced as soon as is practical,” the statement said.

Barbara served as the country’s first lady from 1989 to 1993.

On Sunday, the family said in a statement that Barbara had decided not to seek additional medical treatment and instead sought comfort care at home.

Former President George W. Bush, in a statement on Tuesday night, described his mother as a “fabulous First Lady”.

“My dear mother has passed on at age 92. Laura, Barbara, Jenna, and I are sad, but our souls are settled because we know hers was.

“Barbara Bush was a fabulous First Lady and a woman unlike any other who brought levity, love, and literacy to millions.

“To us, she was so much more. Mom kept us on our toes and kept us laughing until the end. I’m a lucky man that Barbara Bush was my mother,” he said.

Former Governor Jeb Bush, in a statement, said his mother lived a remarkable life.

“I’m exceptionally privileged to be the son of George Bush and the exceptionally gracious, gregarious, fun, funny, loving, tough, smart, graceful woman who was the force of nature known as Barbara Bush.

While Alex was talking with Lolu, who was telling her that he’s noticed how deeply she’s fallen for Tobi, Tobi came to join them and upon seeing the bracelet, she asked that the gentleman give her.

Just days after a cheating scandal broke, the youngest Kardashian sister and troubled boyfriend Tristan Thompson welcomed a baby girl on Thursday.

Khloé arrived at the Hillcrest Hospital near Cleveland on Wednesday night with mom Kris Jenner and sister Kim Kardashian. The Blast reported that the new mom was given extra security, with a security officer assigned to stand guard outside her room.

The birth comes after it was revealed that Tristan, 27, spent the night in a hotel room with strip club bartender Lani Blair in New York City last weekend while Khloé, 33, was holed up in Cleveland.

An insider told us when Khloé heard the cheating news, she went off the rails, adding that the reality star “was devastated when she saw the pictures of Tristan with that girl, she went absolutely ballistic at him. She is not only hurt, she is humiliated and worried for their child. How could he do this, and so publicly, when their baby daughter could arrive within a week?”

Video also circulated online of Tristan apparently canoodling with the brunette as they also partied at NYC rooftop hotspot PH-D on Saturday, before they headed to Soho House, in which he puts his hoodie up and appears to kiss the Khloé look-alike.

This is Khloé’s first child and Tristan’s second. The NBA star has a son, Prince Oliver, with ex-girlfriend Jordan Craig. Prince turned 1 in December.

She first confirmed she was expecting in December with a black-and-white photo of her growing belly.

Imagine having your final year exam and wedding day on the same day. Which would you choose?

Two Nigerian brides were forced to make a tough decision last weekend when they left their wedding receptions to sit their final year exam, dressed in their wedding finery.

The two final year students, who study Mass Communication, hastily said their “I dos” to their grooms before heading to an exam hall because of a date clash.

Dorcas Atsea and Deborah Atoh had fixed their wedding dates when the exam, originally scheduled for February, was postponed due to inadequate facilities at the Benue State University in Nigeria’s Middle Belt region.

When the new dates were announced, the final year “Media Ethics and Law” exam clashed with the dates both women had chosen for their weddings.

“My wedding was already fixed and planned before the exam,” Atsea told CNN. “I attempted to shift the exam, but to no avail.”

“I went to the exam officer, she said I should choose between the two: the exam or the wedding,” Atoh said.

The big day

The two students were sitting an exam in “Media Ethics and Law.”

“My wedding was already fixed and I already told people it was April 7 and sent out invitations, we decided not to change the date,” Atoh said.

The plan: take the marital vows at the church early in the day, dash into the university for the exam at noon, dash off again for the wedding reception.

They said the exam turned into an atmosphere for celebration.

“I was excited graduating and wedding at the same time. My classmates were so happy,” Atsea said.

“When I walked into the hall, for ten minutes everybody was just shouting before we started the exam and after the exam, I went back to the reception venue because my guests were waiting for me.”

A yet to be identified lady who is accused of being a witch, was reportedly stripped, flogged and excommunicated by angry residents of Amuda Isuochi community, Abia state.

A Facebook user identified as Peace Sampson who shared the post, stated that the alleged witch reportedly killed her mother.

She further disclosed that the lady also killed another woman with four children.
