No it not it, is a BMO (Business Membership Organization)
Ok as the name suggest, NNew, is it strictly business like in its operation or does it have a little bit of social club in it
It is strictly business however because we are women there are aspects of our lives that as we develop friendship with some people, you could get invited for something, in could celebrate you, you cant take that away we must learn to celebrate our achievements and celebrate ourselves, women we don’t celebrate ourselves we celebrate others, so at NNEW one of our aims is to celebrate each other, so within that scope there is a slight twist to it but we are strictly a business organization

American stand-up comedian, actor, musician, author, and convicted sex offender Bill cosby, fell from grace after being sentenced Tuesday to three to 10 years in state prison.
The 81-year-old comedian was also fined $25,000 and will be required to cover the costs of prosecution, which amounts to at least $43,000, the district attorney said.He was convicted in April of drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand, who testified that Cosby violated her at his Pennsylvania home in 2004 after she came to him for career advice.
“Nobody is above the law because of where they live, who they are, wealth, fame, celebrity or even philanthropy,” said Judge Steven O’Neill, who presided over both of Cosby’s trials, the first of which ended in a mistrial.
“The court must consider the protection of the public and the gravity of the offense and the rehabilitation of the defendant,” O’Neill said. “Thirty-four months this has gone on. Your time has come,” he told Cosby.
Cosby, who is the first star of his caliber to be convicted of sexual assault in the age of #MeToo, have been accused of sexual misconduct by dozens of women, but was only criminally charged in Constand’s case.
Constand and Cosby did not react openly when the judge was handing down the sentence, but later, Cosby was seen removing his jacket and tie, while laughing with his spokesman and attorney. Former model Janice Dickinson, who has accused Cosby of rape, began laughing uncontrollably until a sheriff orderedher to stop.
“I am victorious,” Dickinson said after the sentencing.
The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) have directed their state councils and industrial unions nationwide, to commence a national wide strike on Thursday. This is due to Federal Government’s failure to meet its demand on new minimum wage.
The unions had earlier given government a 14-day ultimatum to reconvene the tripartite committee, which was set up by President Muhammad Buhari in November last year, to arrive at a new minimum wage which it promised to announce and implement by the end of September 2018. Only for Dr. Chris Ngige, the Minister of Labour and Employment, to announce that the new minimum wage was no longer feasible this September.
General Secretary of NLC, Dr. Peter Ozo-Eson, disclosed to newsmen, in a statement made available yesterday in Abuja, that unless government meets its demands, all workers are set to sit at home across the country.
In a letter addressed to all industrial unions and NLC State Councils, he said:
“This is to inform you that the organised labour shall commence nationwide warning strike in respect of the non-implementation of the National Minimum Wage, effective from Midnight of Wednesday, September 26.
“All industrial unions and all State Councils are to commence mobilisation immediately for an effective strike action, nationwide.”
Also, the TUC has emphasized that organised labour would begin strike from early hours of Thursday, September 27.
A statement signed by Mr. Musa-Lawal Ozigi, TUC, Secretary General in Abuja stated that the decision to commence on strike was sequel to the resolve of the Central Working Committee (CWC) of TUC on September 24.
Ozigi said that following the mandate of the CWC, TUC leadership would take all necessary action to effect the ultimatum on the new minimum wage in collaboration with other stakeholders.
“Strike is hereby declared to commence from early hours of Thursday, September 27, 2018,” the Secretary General said.

The Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) made the announcement and stated that the strike is as a result of the failure of the state government to honour an agreement signed recently at the Joint Account Allocation Committee (JAAC) meeting of Sept. 4. And the strike will be indefinite until contentious issues are addressed.
A statement signed by the state’s President, Olubunmi Ajimoko, and Secretary, Suleiman Alero was alarmed that salaries and pensions have remained unpaid
Fayose has also been warned by NULGE against fresh employments until workers salary arrears have been paid.
”We again wish to stress that additional burden should not be put on JAAC until our various arrears are cleared.
“The case of those termed “hurriedly employed’’ in 2003 should serve as a lesson to all who remember history.
“In view of the insensitivity of this present administration, even at the point of winding up, when we feel that corrections of past errors should be made, it has become painfully obvious that no concrete agreement can be respected by this administration.
“The union is therefore calling all its members in the 16 local governments, the related commission, boards and departments to proceed on an indefinite strike action from Friday.
“We humbly wish to stress that this position will only be reviewed when we see a physical evidence of the political will to alleviate our members’ predicament, especially payment of all arrears of our salaries,’’ the communique said.
All workers have been told to join the strike or face the consequences.…

Three lecturers at the Lagos State University may be sacked anytime from now over cases of alleged sexual harassment of their students.
The News Agency of Nigeria learnt in Lagos on Thursday that the governing council of the institution has concluded investigations into the matter.
NAN learnt that the sacking of the randy teachers would be announced after the next meeting of the council, slated for next month.
An authoritative source familiar with the development, revealed the identities of the lecturers in an interview with the NAN education correspondent.
The lecturers are from the Departments of Chemistry and Economics, while the third is from the LASU College of Medicine at Ikeja.
The source told NAN that two of the teachers allegedly told two female students, who they had been `eyeing’ to come and re-sit papers on a Saturday with intent to take sexual advantage of the students.
The source said that the students, however, reported the issue to the university’s security department, which reportedly advised them to play along with the teachers in a bid to catch them red-handed.
According to the source, the LASUCOM lecturer, similarly, directed two female medical students to buy an injection, which he allegedly ended up using on the students “to sedate them and take advantage of them sexually”.
Reacting to the allegation, the LASUCOM lecturer, (name withheld), told NAN that the accusation of sexual harassment against him was the handiwork of mischief makers.
He, however, did not elaborate but confirmed that the LASU panel invited him to answer questions on unethical conduct, arising from a medical prescription he gave to students.
On their part, the two other accused lecturers, declined to make comments when NAN correspondent took them up on the matter.
NAN source also revealed that council would similarly, decide the fate of three executive members of the LASU Chapter of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, accused of stealing a confidential document and committing other offences.

Manchester City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak says the club will “strive for more” after they announced yearly revenues of £500 million for the first time on Thursday.
The annual report said last season’s runaway Premier League champions had enjoyed revenues of £500.5 million — a 44 per cent increase in five years.
It also highlighted a fourth successive profitable year — this time £10.4 million, with a wage to revenue ratio at “a healthy” 52 per cent.
Al Mubarak, City’s chairman since the club was bought by the Abu Dhabi United Group in 2008, said in a statement: “Our aim is obviously to build on the achievements of the last year.
“We will always strive for more, our journey is not complete and we have more targets to fulfil.”
According to the report, City’s income has increased six-fold in the past decade and they have risen from 20th to fifth in European clubs’ revenues league table.
The club’s facilities have also been transformed with state-of-the-art training facilities.
On the pitch they are also thriving with former Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola having taken City to the title last season with 100 points — the first club to achieve that total.
Al Mubarak added: “Most of the developments visible today are the result of a carefully crafted strategy — one in which organic evolution has also been allowed to thrive.
“The 2017-18 season will go down in history because of the incredible football we all witnessed.
“We are filled with an extraordinary sense of pride in the hard work of Pep Guardiola, the players, and the staff who work tirelessly to support them.”…
