I Have A Girlfriend Im Not Transgender – Bobrisky

Nigerian self-acclaimed male barbie, Bobrisky in an interview with Sunnewsonline, talked about having a girlfriend who isn’t based in Nigeria and becoming a cross dresser.

Here are excerpts from the interview;

So how did you become a crossdresser?

I’m from a polygamous family. My dad married three wives. My mum is the last wife with three children. My parents had issues at some point and my dad said my mum could go with her children. It was later agreed that my brother and sister should stay with my dad being the older ones while I lived with my mum. She sent me to primary and secondary schools. I went to Kings College and University of Lagos, where I studied Accounting. Before I gained admission into Unilag, I lost my mother in 2008. She was a Muslim; actually she travelled for Hajj and died there. This made me to go back to my father’s house.

While living with my mum, I learnt business tactics from her. She sold lace and other textile fabrics in Lagos Island. I used to go to her shop on Saturdays to help out. Shortly after moving to my dad’s house, I gained admission into University of Lagos to study Accounting. In my 200 level, I started trading. I sold clothes to my friends and hostel mates. But I wasn’t making money the way I wanted. I sat down one day and told myself that I wanted to become famous. My dream has always been to become famous and controversial. I said to myself, ‘I want to make money from my trade, so what can I do? I started having different plans.

Since I do more of make-ups, sell female and male clothes, I decided to do crossdressing to draw attention. ‘If I start crossdressing, it would sell me out there. It would draw people’s attention’. That was how I became so famous. People were like eeeh, is this one a boy or a girl? What is going on, he’s a boy oh, no he is a …

Operatives of the Edo State Police Command have begun investigation into the alleged sale of a six-week-old baby by her a 23-year-old mother, Miracle Johnson.

The Commissioner of Police, Mr Johnson Kokumo, who confirmed the incident, described it as a serious offence.

PUNCH Metro gathered that Miracle sold the baby, Greatness, to an orphanage in Onitsha, Anambra State, for N200,000.

It was learnt that the nursing mother, who hails from Agenebode, in the Etsako East Local Government Area of the state, was paid in cash.

She was said to have used part of the proceeds to buy a mobile phone.

Miracle, a mother of two, blamed her action on frustration and the inability of her husband to take care of her and her other children.

She said she was persuaded by one Mama Joy, said to be at large, to sell the infant and give the money to her husband to start a business.

She said, “My baby was born on July 2. I sold her due to frustration. My husband was just struggling (to provide for us).

“My friend (Mama Joy) said that since my husband was not taking care of me, if I did it (sold the baby), I could give the money to my husband to start a business or buy a motorcycle.

“Two weeks later, she came back. I did not know what happened to me. So, I carried a bag, picked some things and left.

“I sold her to an orphanage in Onitsha. The orphanage bought the child for N200,000. I just bought only a phone; I did not want to buy it, but she (Mama Joy) forced me to do so,” she added.

Miracle stated that she regretted her action and later confessed to her pastor.

She said, “I told my pastor what I did and that it was a mistake for which I would never forgive myself. So, my husband and I went to a police station to report. I know what I did was not good. I pray that my child will …

Third Mainland Bridge shut down

Third Mainland Bridge To Be Shut Temporarily From Today

The Lagos State Government has said that the 3rd Mainland Bridge will be temporarily shut down for four days starting from midnight of August 23 to midnight of August 26, 2018 for Investigative Maintenance Test to be carried out.

The State Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Mr Ade Akinsanya, who disclosed this in a statement, said the decision was taken after due consultation with the Federal Ministry of Power, Works and Housing.

The four-day closure, according to Akinsanya, will enable the contractors assess the true state of the bridge after which works would commence by the end of the year or early in 2019.

It would be recalled that the Federal Government had earlier announced plans to shut the bridge in July, but had to be shelved after due consultation with the State Government and wide deliberations with other stakeholders, who expressed concern about the indiscriminate parking of articulated vehicles on other alternative routes which would have adversely affected traffic.

Subsequently, a Joint Task Force set up to remove the articulated vehicles from the highway was able to achieve tremendous success.

Justifying the need for the closure, Akinsanya said: “The 3rd Mainland Bridge which was opened about 30 years ago by the then military government has had haphazard maintenance and repairs in the past which the present Federal Government is committed to correct by carrying out proper and continuous maintenance and repairs on it.”

Consequently, the State Government appealed for the cooperation, support and understanding of all motorists and residents, advising them to minimize non-essential travel and movements during the four-day closure.

Besides, Akinsanya said all traffic management agencies including the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and the Police, among others, have been mandated to ensure smooth flow of traffic on all the other alternative roads and traffic corridor.

Akinsanya urged motorists from Lagos Abeokuta, Agege, Ogba and Ikeja to make use of Oshodi via Mushin Ojuelegba to connect Carter Bridge into Island, while those from Ikorodu, Maryland are to make use …

For a while now, ex-BBNaija housemates, Cee-c on Leo has been sparking relationship rumours following their lovey dovey appearances at different events.

In an interview with Arise TV yesterday, when asked what the true position of things between herself and LeoCeec, she gave an insight into what they both share at the moment.

”I will be very honest with you. I think Leo is an amazing guy. He is actually a very great guy. You know we didn’t get to know ourselves in the house but right now what we are doing is that we are getting to know ouselves. He is a true friend I have decided to be there for regardless of the situation. You know me, I am a very loyal person. If I say it is you, then it is you. For me outside the house, Leo is the closest. I like him and I want to be there for him”. she said

On why she posted the acid attack threat mail she received, Ceec said her aim is to make people who aspire to participate in any reality TV show know that asides the freebies and recognition you would get when you participate in such shows, there is also the ugly side of it where people would talk down at you and even threaten you.

On her quarrel with her former love interest in the house, Tobi, Ceec said she was disappointed when she out of the house to find out that people whom she looked up to as role models, actually wrote an epistle condemning her, forgetting that when people are locked up in a place without any escape for their emotions and all, they are bound to make mistakes.

How To End Herdsmen/Farmers Clashes – Buratai

The Chief of Army Staff, Lt-Gen. Tukur Buratai, on Tuesday advised all Nigerians to actively play a role in ending the incessant clashes between herdsmen and farmers in the country.

He stated this at a three-day National Conference organised by Faculty of Law, Ahmadu Bello University held in Zaria, Kaduna State.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the theme of the conference is: “Promoting Peace, Security and Human Rights: Curbing Unsavoury Relationship between Herdsmen and Farmers in Nigeria”.

Buratai, who was represented by the Commandant, Depot Nigerian Army, Zaria, Maj-Gen. Victor Okwudili-Ezugwu, said the call became necessary in view of the recurrence of the conflict across the country.
He observed that herdsmen/farmers conflict had remained global and well known historical phenomena, adding that the two groups derived their means of livelihood around common resources, including land and water.

Buratai observed that while developed societies have found a way out of the problem, some parts of Africa and indeed sub-Saharan Africa were still grabbing with the problem.
The COAS attributed causes of herdsmen/farmer conflicts to competition for scarce resources, urban development and land grabbing, increase in herds population, destruction of farmers’ crops, encroachment on grazing routes and lack of acceptance of herders by host communities.

He also identified climate change as one of the key causes of conflict, saying it leads to environmental degradation, desertification, drought and inadequate rainfall in some places which forced herders to move around the country.
Buratai prayed that the conference would at the end proffer solutions which would be acceptable to the government toward ending the crisis.
He said: “Nigeria is a great nation, nobody will argue that and Nigeria is the hope of Africa, nobody will argue that too.

“Therefore, I want to pray that the deliberations we are going to have here will find solutions for our national unity to be unequivocal and sacrosanct.”
In a goodwill message, the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, prayed that at the end of the conference, solutions would be proffered to end the conflict.

LeBron James Opens I Promise School

NBA superstar LeBron James has proved he’s a role model both on and off the basketball court by opening I Promise school for underprivileged children.
The I Promise School will house 240 at-risk third and fourth-grade students in James’ hometown Akron, Ohio.
The school is a joint venture between the LeBron James Family Foundation and Akron Public Schools.
“We just want everything for them,” the three-time NBA champion said. “Everything and more. So it’s going to mean a lot to me.”
James will serve as primary donor to help form the extra-curricular goals of the school. The school’s board will oversee the curriculum development.
The 33-year-old, who recently moved from the Cleveland Cavaliers to the Los Angeles Lakers on a four-year contract worth $154 million (£116 million), hopes the school will help kids who are falling behind in education and struggling at home.
The former Cavs star missed 83 days of school in the fourth grade because his family did not have a car.
Several other families offered care and support, and the following year he started playing basketball.
“School didn’t mean anything to me,” he said. “There were just a lot of empty days, empty nights and just kind of a no-future thought process.
“It was mentally challenging. No kid at eight, nine should have that stress… so I know exactly what a lot of these kids are going through.”
James says having a bike was a huge factor in his childhood as it offered him an escape from dangerous parts of his neighbourhood and the freedom to explore. Because of that, every student will receive a bicycle when they arrive at the school.
Students will also be provided with meals during the day, as well as services to help them deal with stress, or parents who are struggling to make ends meet.
The school will also provide services to families, which include job placement assistance for parents and an on-site food bank from which parents can take food to prepare

Lukaku To Return Early To Help Man United – Mourinho

Belgium striker, Romelu Lukaku, has curtailed his vacation and will join Manchester United at the start of their Premier League campaign, manager Jose Mourinho, has said.

Mourinho called for the club’s World Cup participants to shorten their rest days after last month’s tournament to help United.
The club have also been hindered by injuries, and hope to avoid a poor start to the league season.
England duo Phil Jones and Marcus Rashford were already set to return early and United will now be boosted by Lukaku’s decision.

Man United prepare to host Leicester City in their first league game on Aug. 10.
“We will have (Victor) Lindelof who started training two days ago,” Mourinho said after United’s 2-1 win over Real Madrid in the pre-season International Champions Cup on Wednesday.
He added: “Marcus Rashford, Jones and Lukaku are coming back three days early to try to be available for the team.”

The Portuguese boss praised his senior players for the intensity they showed in United’s pre-season tour but insisted the fixtures did not reveal anything new strategically.
He said: “I didn’t learn anything (tactically). I know what (Ander) Herrera is, I know what (Juan) Mata is, I know what (Alexis) Sanchez is, I know what they are…
“I know the kids need time to grow up.

“The boys tried everything, they gave everything, they know we have to try to fight for the best result but tactically it means nothing.”

United have won two of their five pre-season fixtures so far and will be keen to make a quick start in their quest to win silverware this season.
Mourinho was unsure, however, if Anthony Martial would return in time to play Sunday’s final friendly against Bayern Munich.
The Frenchman left the team’s pre-season tour early to attend the birth of his daughter.…

Serena Suffers Career’s Worst Loss To Konta

Twenty-three-time major champion Serena Williams suffered the worst loss of her storied career on Tuesday, falling 6-1 6-0 to Britain’s Johanna Konta in the first round of the Silicon Valley Classic.

After a routine hold to start the match, Williams lost the next 12 games in a one-sided affair that lasted less than an hour.
She stunned the partisan crowd of 3,000 at San Jose State University.

Those expecting to see Williams continue to battle back after a difficult child birth last year were left disappointed.
The 36-year-old committed 25 unforced errors to Konta’s nine and managed to put just 41 per cent of her first serves into play.
“I think she played well in the second set and I think I wasn’t sharp at all in the first set.
“She got confident and she clearly ran away with it,” the American said after the loss.

Williams, who lost the Wimbledon final earlier this month to German Angelique Kerber, had never lost a match before where she did not win at least two games since turning pro in 1995.
As poorly as Williams played, the 27-year-old Konta was sharp, firing six aces and smacking 17 winners to Williams’ nine while controlling the tempo of the match.
“She obviously wasn’t playing at her best level, nowhere near it, and I really just tried to play the match on my terms,” said Konta, who won the tournament two years ago.

She added: “I tried to put aside the incredible champion she is and just play the player of the day.
“I felt I did better than her on the day but it’s still a humbling experience to be out here with her.”
With the loss Williams falls to 11-4 since returning to the tour and will look to bounce back when she competes in the Cincinnati Open next month.

Cincinnati will offer her another hard court tune-up ahead of this year’s US Open.
